Best Mobile Phone By (FunxSite)

Samsung Galaxy S3

The most feature packed phone currently available. It combines a huge 4.8in HD screen with blisteringly fast quad-core processor, 8megapixel camera and all those nice extras we so treasure in Android phones: expandable storage via a microSD slot, direct connection to a TV via its MHL(microHDMI) socket. Combined with great call quality, a large battery and a great Android 4.0 interface and you have simply the stnadout phone of the moment, if that is you like large handsets.

HTC One X

A stunning Android handset second only to the Galaxy S3 on technically grounds, though it's a nicer looking handset with a better screen. Like the S3, the One X packs in just about every top notch feature you could hope for and presents it with a cracking customised version of Android 4.0. It's 4.7in HD screen is simply the best on the market at the moment and its quad core processor is superfast too. Only the lack of expandable storage and the placement of its power button put us off.

iPhone 4S

Apple's latest refresh of its iPhone range forgoes any design changes but does boost the internals. A dual-core processor, a better camera, the updated iOS5 and of course the voice-activated personal assistant called Siri all add up to make this a very tempting proposition. However, a high price tag and the closed Apple eco-system will put some people off.

Samsung Galaxy S2

This phone has it all: a lightening fast dual-core processor, a crisp, vibrant screen, a super-slim and lightweight design, and oodles of features. It does have a couple of downsides, though. It's thinness gives it a slightly cheap and weak feel while its large height and width make it a little big for some hands. Neither does Samsung have the best implementation of Android and of course Android does still have a few quirks of its own. Overall however, this is certainly one of the best smartphones out there.

HTC One S

Fast and stylish, the One S should be a winner. But a few slipups dent its appeal.

Samsung Galaxy Nexus

The first Ice Cream Sandwich phone appears - but does it give us brain freeze?

 Nokia Lumia 800

Nokia's first Windows Phone smartphone looks the part but does it play it?

Motorola Defy

Rugged, waterproof and still a very capable smartphone, the Motorola Defy is a great everyman's phone. It's not the fastest, with its 800MHz CPU, but still moves at a decent pace and being an Android smartphone it's packed with software features. To top it all off, it's available for well under £250 SIM free.

BlackBerry Bold 9900

The BlackBerry Bold 9900 is just about the perfect upgrade for existing BlackBerry users. The keyboard's excellent, the touchscreen's great and the new software adds plenty too. However, when stacked against the Android and iPhone competition it may not do quite enough. A lot of this is simply down to the form factor, and the small screen that comes with it, but the current lack of apps also limits what you can do.
