The Science of Sexting (By FunXsite)
There’s a new suspect in the sexting scandal that has been
sweeping Hollywood as of late, and the answer may surprise you. Clinical
psychologist Marta Meana, the president of the Society for Sexy Therapy
and Research believes that all of these urges can be traced back to
science. ‘An increasing body of data is indicating that the
way women feel about themselves may be very important to their
experience of sexual desire and subjective arousal, possibly even
outweighing the impact of their partners’ view of them.’ States Meana’s study and it’s not the only research that has been conducted on this issue.
Science has shown that more than half of women’s sexual
fantasies are the desire to be sexually desirable to men. In one study,
47% of the women who took part fantasize about working in seducing jobs
like a stripper, harem girl amongst other jobs that encourage showing
skin and sexualizing their bodies. “Being desired is very arousing to
women,” claims Meana, “(and) the little data we have indicate that eroticism just will not be told what to do.”
Whatever the case, we’re happy that women enjoy celebrating their
bodies, and flaunting their stuff to others. If it wasn’t for that,
we’re not sure what we would do!
